What is Quick Sync?
Automated repricing runs on a schedule. That works most of the time, but sometimes a merchant sees a price change that needs to go live now, not at the next interval. Quick Sync is the manual override.
Automated repricing runs on a schedule. That works most of the time, but sometimes a merchant sees a price change that needs to go live now, not at the next interval. Quick Sync is the manual override.
Scheduled sync runs in the background. Repricing rules evaluate at regular intervals, generate new prices, and push them to the store automatically. The merchant does not have to do anything for the prices to update.
Quick Sync is on demand. The merchant clicks a button and the current set of repricing decisions syncs to the store immediately. Same logic, same rules, just no waiting.
Automatic price synchronisation is available on Business and Premium plans. Quick Sync gives merchants on those plans an instant alternative to the scheduled run, but the underlying sync capability is what makes both possible. Lower plan tiers can still see repricing recommendations and export them, but the automatic push back to the store requires Business or above.
Example: A Shopify store launches a weekend sale at midnight Friday. Their scheduled sync runs every 4 hours. Without Quick Sync, the sale prices would not be live until 4 AM Saturday. With Quick Sync, the merchant pushes the new prices the moment the sale begins, capturing the entire Saturday morning traffic at promotional pricing.
